DreamWorks Animation's great stars make the leap to the small screen, entering Spanish homes with the main public broadcast channels. From a non-stop party in the jungles of Madagascar to the high-octane streets of L.A. and the faraway kingdom of San Lorenzo, animation fans in Spain are about to experience a world of adventure and laughter as nine television series from DreamWorks Animation prepare to debut on four major Spanish TV networks.
Under an unprecedented agreement signed by Planeta Junior, the company responsible for distributing DreamWorks series' in Spain, the nine DreamWorks Animation series will air beginning in October in prime slots on the schedules of RTVE, TV3 (Catalonia), EITB (Basque Country) and TVG (Galicia).
The first series to premiere from DreamWorks Animation is TURBO FAST, a zany, action-packed comedy that follows the adventures of Turbo, the world’s fastest snail, and the friends who make up his racing team.
King Julien is ready to party in the totally original, totally hilarious and totally insane ALL HAIL KING JULIEN. A new cast of fantastic, colorful characters joins the King and his second-in-command Maurice – not to mention the eternally devoted Mort – in the craziest adventures the jungle has to offer.
In THE ADVENTURES OF PUSS IN BOOTS, the world’s favourite feline hero, lover and milk connoisseur dons his signature footwear and springs to action to protect the defenceless residents of San Lorenzo from all manner of villains. Nothing can stand in his way … except a hairball!
Joining these three critically acclaimed series is the all-new prehistoric adventure DINOTRUX, based on the children’s book by Chris Gall, which introduces an amazing world filled with creatures that are half-dinosaur, half-construction vehicle and all fun!
Even more new animated series from DreamWorks Animation will follow, offering a breath of fresh air into children’s programming in Spain, combining adventure, laughter and important life lessons with characters from favorite films – as well as brand-new characters.
